Do you want to know what’s happening in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities of Eastern Washington? Are you concerned about issues and legislation dealing with Deafness? Do you want to have a voice in the local Deaf community?

We would like to offer you the opportunity to become a member of the Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (EWCDHH). We are a non-profit outreach organization dedicated to providing services and programs to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community throughout Eastern Washington. We have a variety of individual memberships available to meet your needs, including an ITP student discount.

Membership in EWCDHH entitles you to:

  • A Community News subscription. Our monthly newsletter will keep you up-to-date on Deaf and Hard of Hearing issues and events on a local and national level.

  • Voting privileges in our annual General Membership Meeting to elect board members. Individual members have one vote; family memberships have two votes.

  • Free access to the extensive EWCDHH library of books and tapes dealing with Deafness. Some books are available for check-out.

  • Volunteer opportunities.

  • Social events with the Deaf community that will help you sharpen your signing skills.

We would like to offer you the opportunity to become a business member of the Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (EWCDHH). We are a non-profit outreach organization dedicated to providing services and programs to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community throughout Eastern Washington. A $50.00 membership fee per year entitles your business to begin to access the skills and resources that will enable you to serve your existing Deaf clients better and additionally to tap more effectively into the Deaf market.

  • Unlimited phone assistance on access issues, including state, federal, and local regulations.

  • One free TTY training session and additional training for relay calls.

  • A Community News subscription that will keep you current on Deaf issues and events. Your business can be featured in one of our monthly issues.

  • Training for securing interpreters.

  • Financial planning for access issues and tax advice on deductions when you use interpreters.

  • Workshop discounts.

  • Free access to the extensive EWCDHH library of books and tapes dealing with Deafness.

  • Statistical information for grant writing.

We believe your membership in EWCDHH will be a positive investment for your business. In addition, you will be assisting us in providing services that promote the general welfare and independence of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities of Eastern Washington.
